Pablo Torre moves to Mallorca for €5M; €25M release clause and Barcelona buyback included.

Highlights:

  • Transfer fee: €5 million for 50% rights
  • Release clause: €25 million
  • Buyback option: Barca retains right to re-sign
  • Coach Jagoba Arrasate played a key role in the deal
  • Not in Flick’s plans, Torre aims for regular minutes

In a significant summer development, Barcelona’s young midfield talent Pablo Torre has officially joined RCD Mallorca in a €5 million deal. The transfer, finalized after weeks of negotiation, marks a strategic move for all parties involved, especially the player, who is seeking more game time to grow his career.

Mallorca will pay to Pablo Torre

As reported by SPORT and confirmed by multiple sources, Mallorca will pay €5 million for 50% of Torre’s federative rights, allowing Barcelona to retain partial control over the midfielder’s future. Additionally, the agreement includes a €25 million release clause, safeguarding Torre’s value in case of interest from bigger clubs in the future.

Buyback Clause for Barcelona

Barcelona, known for keeping tabs on their young prospects, has smartly included a buyback clause in the deal. This means the Catalan giants can bring Torre back to Camp Nou if he flourishes in his new environment.

Why Mallorca?

Torre was not part of Hansi Flick’s plans at Barcelona, which led to him exploring options where he could play regularly. Mallorca’s head coach Jagoba Arrasate, a known admirer of Torre’s style, played a key role in convincing the midfielder. He even reached out personally to express his interest, presenting a project that impressed the player and his camp.

Torre is expected to travel to Mallorca next week to complete the final steps of the transfer and start training with his new teammates. Determined to prove his worth, Torre sees this as a golden opportunity to develop in La Liga while staying under the watchful eyes of Barcelona.

With this move, Torre embarks on a fresh chapter with high hopes and firm backing—both from Mallorca’s management and potentially from Barcelona in the future.
