Bad News: Two Indian Players Injured Ahead of England Series, Replacements Announced by BCCI

India U-19 Team to Tour England from June 24 to July 23.

India’s Under-19 cricket team is set to tour England from June 24 to July 23, where they will play a 50-over warm-up match, five Youth ODIs, and two multi-day games against England U-19. The team will be led by Ayush Mhatre, representing the Chennai Super King (CSK).

Replacements for Injured Players:

Ahead of the England tour, the Junior Selection Committee has made two changes to India’s Under-19 squad. D. Dipesh has been brought in to replace Aditya Rana, while Naman Pushpak will take the place of Khilan Patel.

In an official statement, the BCCI confirmed that Aditya Rana has suffered a stress fracture in his lower back, while Khilan Patel experienced a stress reaction in his right leg during the ongoing High-Performance Camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

Ayush Mhatre’s Remarkable Comeback in IPL 2025:

Ayush Mhatre went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, but fate had other plans. After CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad got injured, the team brought Ayush in as a replacement — and he made the most of the opportunity.

Ayush delivered an impressive performance, scoring 206 runs in six innings at an average of 34.33, making him CSK’s third-highest run-scorer of the season.

India’s Under-19 schedule for England:

India will play a 50-over warm-up game on June 24 in Loughborough University. Then, the first Youth ODI will be played in Hove on June 27. The next two One-Day matches will be played in Northampton on June 30 and July 2. Worcester will host the remaining matches of the five-match series on July 5 and 7. The multi-day red-ball game will begin on July 12 in Beckenham. The final multi-day game of the tour will commence on July 20 in Chelmsford.
