The Allahabad High Court has granted interim protection from arrest to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer Yash Dayal in a sexual exploitation case. The 27-year-old pacer is accused of deceiving a woman under the false pretext of marriage over a period of five years.
Case Registered Against RCB’S Yash Dayal
The case was registered under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which specifically addresses sexual intercourse obtained through deceitful means. According to the complaint filed at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad on July 6, Dayal allegedly promised marriage while allegedly being involved with other women.
During the hearing, the court bench comprising Justice Siddhartha Varma and Justice Anil Kumar-X raised doubts regarding the timeline of the relationship. The court remarked, “One can’t be fooled for five years,” highlighting the unusual duration of the alleged deception. This observation led the bench to grant interim protection to Dayal until the next hearing date

Representing Dayal in court was Senior Advocate Gopal Swaroop Chaturvedi, along with advocates Gaurav Tripathi and Raghuvansh Mishra.
